San Francisco-based Beyond Pricing, a pricing platform for vacation property rentals, has raised $42.5 million in funding, according to a blog post on its site. Bessemer Venture Partners led the round.
Durham, North Carolina-based Ribometrix, a biotechnology company developing small molecule therapeutics that directly target RNA to treat human diseases, has secured $7.8 million in funding. The backers are Dementia Discovery Fund and Illumina Ventures. In addition to the funding, Ribometrix has named Dr. Mike Clayman as chairman of the board of directors.
FACIT's Prospects Oncology Fund has provided seed capital to Ontario-based medical device and new therapeutic platform technologies. The recipients to secure this financing are Xpan Inc, a medical device startup; Dr. Igor Stagljar of the University of Toronto; and the Drug Discovery Program at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research. Xpan Inc is developing surgical access ports that aim to increase safety and efficiency of minimally invasive surgeries. Dr. Stagljar is developing a system for detecting protein-protein interactions in real time for drug discovery applications while OICR's Drug Discovery Program is developing a platform targeting multiple members of the WD40 repeat domain family with small molecules. No financial terms were disclosed.
New York City-based BetterCloud, a SaaS operations management platform, has secured $5 million in funding. The investor was Dropbox. The capital will be used for growth and platform development.
Balto, a provider of real-time artificial intelligence call guidance software, has secured $3 million in seed funding. OCA Ventures and Stage Venture Partners led the round.
Honeycomb.io, a provider of observability solutions for modern developer teams, has secured $11.4 million in funding. Scale Venture Partners led the round with participation from other investors that include Storm Ventures, eVentures, NextWorld Capital and Merian Ventures. In addition to the funding, Ariel Tseitlin from Scale Venture Partners will join Honeycomb's board of directors.
Berkeley, California-based Gatsby, which operates a platform for building websites, announced it raised $15 million in Series A funding. CRV led the round, with previous seed investors Trinity Ventures, Mango Capital, Fathom Capital and Dig Ventures also participating. In addition, Kong CEO Aghi Marietti and Scott Belsky, founder of Behance and CPO at Adobe, also invested. As part of the funding round, CRV General Partner Devdutt Yellurkar has joined the board.
San Francisco and New York-based Terminal, a remote teams company, has raised $17 million in Series B funding. 8VC led the round.
Booksy said Sept. 26 that it raised $28.5 million in a Series B2 financing round led by existing investors existing investors Piton Capital, Enern, and others as well as new investors, Industry Ventures and XG Ventures. Also participating were individual investors such as Zach Coelius (founder of Triggit), Kai Hansen (Booksy board member), Chris Guzowski, Haanes Graah (vice president of growth, Revolut; former global head of new markets, Spotify), Piotr Jakubowski and Rohan Monga (former CMO and COO of Go-Jek, respectively). Booksy is a mobile marketplace for appointment-driven beauty services.
Menlo Park, California-based Amava, a unified platform connecting empty-nesters and retirees, has secured $6.2 million in funding. RPM Ventures was the lead backer.
