Maze Therapeutics, a company focused on translating genetic insights into new medicines, has secured funding from City Hill Ventures. No financial terms were disclosed. In addition to the funding, Dr. Jonathan Lim, founder and managing partner at City Hill, has joined the Maze board of directors.
New York-based US Grid Company, which acquires and operates power plants, has secured an undisclosed amount of funding. The investors were EnCap Investments LP and Yorktown Partners LLC.
Fabric, which was formerly known as CommonSense Robotics, said Oct. 23 that it raised $110 million in a Series B round led by Corner Ventures. Participating in the round were from Aleph, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), Innovation Endeavors, La Maison, Playground Ventures and Temasek. Fabric, of New York, provides a logistics platform for retailers.
Massachusetts-based Beam, a newly launched wellness brand offering CBD products, has raised $5 million in funding. Obvious Ventures led the round.
Seattle-based Logixboard, a digital partner for freight forwarders, has raised $4.2 million in seed funding. Social Leverage led the round.
San Francisco-based Databricks, a provider of unified data analytics, has raised $400 million in Series F funding. Andreessen Horowitz led the round.
Berkeley, California-based Medinas, a technology-driven asset management company for hospitals, has raised $5 million in seed funding. NFX led the round with participation from other investors that included Precursor Ventures, Sound Ventures, FJ Labs and Bryan Frist.
San Diego-based Intrepida Bio Inc, a newly launched drug developer, has secured $9.5 million in funding. The investors were Sofinnova Investments and Canaan.
Nicecactus.gg, a competitive gaming platform, has secured 5 million euros ($5.5 million) in Series A funding. The investors were not named. Nicecactus.gg was formerly known as Esport-Management.com.
College Park, Maryland-based IonQ, a provider of universal quantum computing, has secured $55 million in funding. Samsung Catalyst Fund and Mubadala Capital led the round.
