Digital Colony, Colony Capital's global digital infrastructure investment platform, has acquired Toronto-based Beanfield Technologies, an independent bandwidth infrastructure provider. No financial terms were disclosed. Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP served as legal counsel to Digital Colony Partners while DLA Piper provided legal counsel to Beanfield, with The Bank Street Group LLC acted as the firm's financial adviser.
Spectrum Equity has invested $75 million in Spreedly. Headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, Spreedly is a provider of software for businesses to optimize their online and mobile payments operations through a single API connection.
Apollo Global Management Inc has agreed to acquire Tech Data for $130 per share or about $5.4 billion. Bank of America Securities is serving as financial adviser to Tech Data while Citi is serving as lead financial adviser to Apollo, with J.P. Morgan and Wells Fargo also serving as financial advisers. Based in Clearwater, Florida, Tech Data specializes in IT products and services.
Thompson Street Capital Partners has acquired Ottawa, Ontario-based T-Base Communications Inc, a provider of accessible communications technology. Baird was financial adviser to T-Base on the deal. No financial terms were disclosed.

Bunker Hill Capital has sold ASPEQ to Industrial Growth Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, ASPEQ is a maker of highly engineered electric‐heating and thermal‐management technologies.
Hamilton, Ontario-based Nix Sensor, a provider of color measurement products, has secured $2 million in funding. The investor was BDC Capital's Growth & Transition Capital division. The funding will be used by Nix Sensor to accelerate product development and expand global sales efforts.
IPKeys Power Partners has acquired Ontario-based N-Dimension Solutions Inc, a provider of cybersecurity monitoring. No financial terms were disclosed. EnerTech Capital, a venture firm that has offices in a number of cities that include Toronto, Philadelphia, Montreal and Calgary, made an equity investment in IPKeys as part of the transaction. No financial terms were disclosed. England & Company advised IPKeys on the deal.
Five Points Capital has acquired Ithaca, New York and Madison, Wisconsin-based GrammaTech Inc, a developer of software-assurance tools and advanced cyber-security solutions for government and commercial clients. Five Points teamed up with Pleasant Bay Capital, Crescendo Capital, Capital Southwest Corporation and new GrammaTech CEO Mike Dager for this acquisition. No financial terms were disclosed.
