Josh Bilmes, a former principal at Boyne Capital, is leading Oceans Equity as managing partner.

Waud Capital will invest alongside investments from Layden and co-investors.

The firm will open an office in Dallas and be led by Hicks Equity Partners Managing Director Curt Crofford.

GarageCo’s initial acquisitions include P.D.Q. Door Company based in Maine; Apple Door Systems based in Virginia; and Cunningham Door & Window based in Kentucky.

The platform's first acquisition is McGee Heating and Air, a residential HVAC services provider in Georgia and South Carolina.

Elda River is led by co-Managing Partners Eric Scheyer and Adam Daley, former partners at Magnetar.

Barings, Kline Hill Partners and Adams Street Partners were the fund's co-lead investors.

BTX was formed via the combination of three acquisitions: ERA Industries, Gen-El-Mec and i3DMFG.

The JV will seek to invest several hundred million dollars of gross capital over the next several years.
