PRESS RELEASE
PRESS RELEASE London Tuesday 10 June 2014: Marketing, technology and healthcare M&A specialist Results International Group has announced the promotion of Julie Langley to Partner and the appointment of Chris Lewis as Managing Director in its Technology and Digital Media practice.
Langley has led the build-out of Results International’s Technology and Digital Media practice since first joining the firm in September 2012. Alongside her promotion to Partner, former Head of Technology M&A at KPMG Chris Lewis joins as Managing Director.
The moves reflect growing momentum in the sector and Results International’s commitment to the technology space. The company has recently announced three significant deals in this area – the sale of DC Storm to Rakuten, Staffcare’s sale to SimplyBiz, and the sale of We Are Social to BlueFocus. The firm is also taking a strong position on sector-driven thought leadership through events such as September 2014’s European Advertising and Marketing Technology conference to be held at London’s iconic Science Museum.
It also comes at a time of significant growth for Results International, which has advised on almost 30 transactions since 2012. Employee headcount has doubled since 2010 and the company has grown revenues every year for the past three years.
Langley has over 15 years experience advising technology, software and digital media companies on M&A, financings and disposals. “Results International entered the tech sector convinced that there is a role for a new advisor in the technology mid-market with strong sector-focus and a commitment to senior level attention – and our early success demonstrates that’s the case,” she said.
“I am looking forward to playing an expanded role in our fast-growing business, and Chris’ appointment adds many years of experience in international technology M&A to the practice,” Langley continued.
Lewis has worked on more than 50 primarily cross-border transactions involving organisations from across Europe, North America and Asia as well as Australia and South Africa.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining Results International. The firm has an enviable track record in supporting entrepreneurs and investors through senior-level attention and deep sector insight; I look forward to working with Julie to build one of Europe’s leading technology franchises,” said Lewis.
Results International Group Managing Partner Keith Hunt welcomed Langley’s promotion and Lewis’ appointment: “Together Julie and Chris are a formidable team. They bring more than 30 years experience in global technology M&A in our core focus area of software and SaaS, and in AdTech and eHealth where the technology segment intersects with Results’ other focus verticals – marketing services and healthcare.”
“Results is committed to growing our technology practice and Julie and Chris will play a key role in spearheading growth and building a global team,” he continued.
