AIF Capital Asia has closed its third pan-Asian private equity fund, with $435 million in capital commitments. The mid-market vehicle will focus on expansion capital, buyout and special situation opportunities in Asian companies with enterprise values of between $50 million and $500 million. CZen Inc., a Waltham, Mass.-based Internet startup, has raised $3.5 million in Series A funding led by Matrix Partners, according to a regulatory filing. The company is run by Sheila Marcelo, former vice president and general manager with Matrix portfolio company TheLadders.com and, before that, vice president of marketing for uPromise.
