Transonic Combustion Inc., a Cupertino, Calif.-based developer of fuel injection systems that enable conventional internal combustion engines to operate at higher efficiency, has raised an undisclosed amount of second-round funding. BSG Alliance Corp., an Austin, Texas-based provider of on-demand enterprise software, has acquired The Contours Group, a Houston, Texas-based corporate/IT strategy and executive education. Siemens has completed its acquisition of UGS Corp. for approximately $3.5 billion (including assumed debt), from Bain Capital, Silver Lake Partners and Warburg Pincus.
