Potter Electric Signal Company, a provider of products for the fire and life safety industry, has named Gerald Connolly as CEO. Previously, he worked at Legrand SA, where he was president of the wiring device solutions division Pass and Seymour. Potter is backed by Gryphon Investors.
Cambridge, Massachusetts and Baltimore-based Thrive Earlier Detection Corp, a healthcare company focused on incorporating earlier cancer detection into routine medical care, has named David J. Daly as CEO. Previously, Daly worked at Illumina, where he was the senior vice president and general manager of commercial operations for the Americas region. Thrive Earlier Detection Corp's backers include Section 32, Casdin Capital, Biomatics Capital, BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners, The Invus Group and Exact Sciences.
Marc Bell Capital said Aug. 1 that Betty Sapp has joined as a senior adviser. Sapp most recently served as director of the United States National Reconnaissance Office, a joint Department of Defense and Intelligence Community Organization.
Potter Electric Signal Co said Aug. 1 that it appointed Gerald Connolly as its CEO, effective July 29. Connolly succeeded Bernie Lears, who has decided to retire. Connolly most recently was president of Legrand SA’s wiring device solutions division.
CRV announced it has tapped two new additions to its enterprise team. Joining the firm are Anna Khan as general partner and Kristin Baker Spohn as venture partner.
Canadian mid-market private equity firm Ironbridge Equity Partners has promoted Anthony Creo and Connor Kingston to vice president. Creo joined the Toronto-based firm in 2015 from Oliver Wyman, where he served as a senior consultant. Beginning as an Ironbridge associate, he was promoted in 2017 to senior associate. Kingston also signed on as an associate in 2015 and was promoted two years later to senior associate. He joined from Ernst & Young Orenda Corporate Finance, where he was an associate. Ironbridge is currently investing from its third fund, Ironbridge Equity Partners III, which raised $238 million in 2016.
Wellspring Capital Management has named Alexander G. Bues as head of business development. Bues is the former head of business development for Balance Point Capital.
South San Francisco-based Frontier Medicines, a biopharmaceutical company, has named Kevin Webster as chief scientific officer, Johannes Hermann as chief technology officer and James Winkler as head of degrader technologies. Frontier Medicines' backers include Deerfield Management, Droia Oncology Ventures and MPM Capital.
San Francisco-based Tunein, a global live-streaming and on-demand audience service, has named Juliette Morris as CEO. Morris joined Tunein as chief marketing officer in March 2018. Tunein is backed by Sequoia Capital, Comcast Ventures, IVP, Innovation Endeavors, Causeway, General Catalyst Partners, Icon Ventures and Marker LLC.
Family office Marc Bell Capital has appointed Anu Bhardwaj as entrepreneur-in-residence and deep technology advisor. Bhardwaj is the founder of SHEQ+, Krypto 4 Kids, Qrypto Queens and Women INVESTING in Women DIGITAL.
