The CapStreet Group said Tuesday that it has closed a recapitalization of Industrial Plant Services. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction, which was done in partnership with Industrial Plant Services' senior management team. Based in Houston, Industrial Plant Services is a provider of corrosion resistant and non-metallic products for the petrochemical and industrial sectors.
Darby Private Equity, the private equity unit of Franklin Templeton Investments, said Tuesday that it has made an investment in Grupo Bioerix. No financial terms were disclosed. Bioerix is a supplier of pharmaceutical and medical products to the healthcare industry in Uruguay and the region.
SunEdison said Tuesday that it has received $260.5 million in financing from IFC, the Overseas Private Investment Corp. and Rabobank. According to SunEdison, the capital will be used to finance the construction of a 100MWp solar power plant in the Atacama Desert, Chile. SunEdison is a provider of solar-generated energy.
Navis Capital Partners has acquired Guardian Early Learning Group. No financial terms were disclosed, although several outlets report the deal to be valued at $109.6 million. Navis Capital Australia advised Navis in the transaction. Based in Australia, Guardian Learning Group is a provider of private childcare services.
Furniture Brands International Inc filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Monday and said it plans to sell most of its business, which includes names such as Thomasville, Drexel Heritage and La Barge, to Oaktree Capital Management, Reuters reported.
American Surgical Assistants, which is backed by Great Point Partners, has acquired ProAssist Surgical Associates. Financial terms weren't announced. Dallas-based ProAssis provides surgical physician assistant services.
Clearlake Capital Group said Tuesday it has completed its buy of Futuris Automotive from Elders Limited. The transaction was announced in July. Futuris, of Melbourne, designs and makes seating and interior systems for OEMs.
Graycliff Partners has sold Rutland Plastic Technologies to The Riverside Company. Financial terms weren't announced Pineville, N.C.-based Rutland designs and makes screen inks for the global textile industry and supplies plastic coatings for commercial and industrial applications.
DFW Capital Partners, which is currently out fundraising for its fourth fund, has put SoftWriters up for sale, banking and private equity sources said.
Providence Equity Partners has agreed to buy a majority stake in Learfield Communications. Financial terms weren't announced. Shamrock Capital Advisors is the seller. Jefferson City, Missouri-based Learfield manages the athletic multimedia rights for more than 50 collegiate institutions and associations through its Learfield Sports operating unit.
