Nuventix, the Texas-based maker of LED cooling technology for efficient lighting displays, revealed that GE Energy Financial Services and The Bergquist Company joined existing investors Braemar Energy Ventures, CenterPoint Ventures, InterWest Partners and Rho Ventures to provide the company with a $10 million investment. Private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. has been granted approval by the European Union to purchase the Capsugel unit of Pfizer, Reuters reported. KKR will pay nearly $2.38 billion for the unit, which makes hard capsules for pharmaceuticals.
Private equity investor The Anderson Group has acquired the assets of concrete masonry and landscape products manufacturer Oberfields through an out-of-court restructuring. Oberfields is based in Columbus, Ohio. Terms of the deal were not released. The deal is the fourth transaction completed by Anderson Group in the past year.
Secondary private equity firm Paul Capital has acquired an interest in a portfolio of private equity assets managed by Cognis Capital.
