Bufferbox Inc., a Waterloo, Ontario-based firm which specializes in parcel storage services for online-generated deliveries, has been acquired by Google Inc. While the transaction value was officially undisclosed, Google is estimated to have paid US$17 million, according to TechCrunch. Until the Google acquisition, Bufferbox was a portfolio company of iNovia Capital of Montréal, Québec. Just three months earlier, iNovia provided Bufferbox with an undisclosed amount of startup funding. Bufferbox is one of a dozen disclosed financings completed by iNovia to date in 2012.
