MOTION PT Group Inc, a New York-based provider of physical and occupational therapy services, acquired Community Physical Therapy, a family-owned physical therapy provider with three locations in New York City. MOTION PT, formed in 2015, is a portfolio company of Pharos Capital Group LLC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Investcorp made a majority investment in The Wrench Group, a provider of home maintenance and repair services. Wrench was formerly controlled by Alpine Investors, Skylight Capital, and Wrench management. The company made approximately $150 million in revenue for 2015.
Ankura Consulting Group, a Dallas-based business advisory and expert services firm founded in 2014, received a strategic growth commitment of $100 million from Madison Dearborn Partners. RBC Capital Markets LLC served as exclusive financial advisor to Ankura, and Cole Schotz PC provided legal counsel to Ankura. Kirkland & Ellis LLP provided legal advice to Madison Dearborn.

Tailwater Capital LLC, an energy-focused private equity firm, closed its fourth fund, Tailwater E&P Opportunity Fund II LP, at $218 million. The fund will invest in exploration and production companies in non-operated working interest investment opportunities.
KKR partnered with Impact Investment Exchange and Shujog, a non-profit based in Singapore, to help Indian plastic recycling startup Banyan Nation raise seed funding. The group assisted Banyan in developing a business plan and financial model. Mexico-based Artha Capital committed $800,000 to Banyan.
Doha, Qatar-based beIN Media Group, which operates sports networks and movie channels, acquired 100 percent of film studio Miramax for an undisclosed amount. Selling shareholders include Colony Capital and Qatar Investment Authority. Miramax owns the rights to hundreds of film titles.
