Seacoast Capital said Wednesday that it has teamed up with QK management, Cave Creek Capital Management and Stewart Capital Management to recapitalize QK. No financial terms were disclosed. QK operates 79 Denny's restaurants in six states and is considered the largest Denny's franchisee in the world.
Software Equity Group said Wednesday that its client ChemSW has been sold to Accelrys. No financial terms were disclosed. Headquartered in Fairfield, Calif., ChemSW is a provider of chemical inventory management solutions.
Salt Lake City-based VacationRoost Group, a vacation rental platform that's owned by Kinderhook Industries, said Wednesday that it has acquired Hawaiian Beach Rentals and Vacation Rental Agent. No financial terms were disclosed.
Newcastle Investment Corp. said Wednesday that it has acquired Dow Jones Local Media Group from News Corp for $87 million. The Local Media Group operations will be managed by GateHouse Media, an affiliate of Fortress Investment Group, Newcastle’s manager. The Dow Jones Local Media Group is a publisher of 33 local daily and weekly newspapers.
CIT Group said Wednesday that it has provided a $194.5 million senior secured credit facility to TruckPro, a portfolio company of Harvest Partners. The financing is to support TruckPro's acquisition of CCI Corp. Based in Memphis, Tenn., TruckPro distributes parts and accessories for heavy duty vehicles.
Park Madison Partners said Wednesday that it has named Carrie W. Coulson as a principal. Prior to joining Park Madison Partners, Coulson was a director at MVision Private Equity Advisors. Based in New York, Park Madison Partners is a real estate placement and advisory firm that focuses on real estate private equity.
Vehcon said Wednesday that it has named Howard A. Tullman, Doug Curling, and Jim Corman to its board of directors. Curling is the founder of Atlanta-based New Kent Capital while Corman is the founder and COO of the Angel Investment Management Group. Tullman is the chairman of Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy. Headquartered in Atlanta, Vehcon is a provider of vehicle telematics solutions.
Denham Capital said Wednesday that it has relocated its power & renewables team from Short Hills, NJ, to their new headquarters in London. According to the company, the move was made to help facilitate the team's acquisition of deals in emerging markets. Denham Capital is a private equity firm that focuses on energy investments.
Confie Seguros, a portfolio company of ABRY Partners, said Wednesday that it has acquired Olympic Insurance. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Shelton, Washington, Olympic Insurance is an independent insurance company.
Millstone Capital Advisors, in partnership with Black Rock Holdings' Mark Disper, have acquired the St. Louis-based Lion's Choice restaurant chain. No financial terms were disclosed. Although the new operating company will be named LC Corporate, it will continue to run under the name Lion's Choice. Also, as a result of the transaction, Disper has been named president and CEO of Lion's Choice, while Millstone Capital Advisors' Bob Millstone and Fred Flegel will join the company's new board of managers. Dr. Marvin Gibbs, the founder of Lion's Choice, will serve as advisor.
