BHS Specialty Chemicals, a portfolio company of Post Capital Partners, said Monday that it has acquired Steam Engineering. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Vancouver, WA, Steam Engineering is a provider of cleaning and sanitation chemicals for the food processing, engineering and wastewater treatment sectors.

SeraCare Life Sciences, a provider of life science products for the diagnostic industry that is backed by Linden Capital Partners, has acquired Kirkegaard & Perry Laboratories. No financial terms were disclosed. Madison Capital Funding and BB&T Capital Partners providing financing to SeraCare for the acquisition. Based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, KPL is a provider of antibodies and related reagents for the diagnostic and life sciences sectors.

Data Collective said Friday that it has named Dr. Todd Papaioannou as an entrepreneur-in-residence. Prior to joining Data Collective, Dr. Papaioannou served as chief cloud architect for Yahoo. Based in Palo Alto and San Francisco, Calif., Data Collective is an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in big data companies.

Glen Allen, Virginia-based Markel Ventures has acquired Eagle Construction of VA. No financial terms were disclosed. Eagle Construction of VA is a home builder.

Calamos Investments said Friday that it has named Jeremy Hughes and Chris Langs as co-portfolio managers to its investment team. In their new position, both will manage the firm's fixed income/high-yield strategies, which includes the Calamos High Income Fund. Headquartered in the Chicago metropolitan area, Calamas Investments is a global investment management firm.

CPI Aerostructures said Friday that it has named Michael Faber to its board of directors. Currently, Faber is CEO of NextPoint Management Company, an investment firm. Based in Edgewood, NY, CPI Aerostructures is a provider of structural aircraft parts for fixed wing aircraft and helicopters in both the commercial and defense markets.

Parthenon Capital Partners has acquired Bracket from Express Scripts Holding Company. No financial terms were disclosed. Also, Ian Lennox has been named executive chairman of Bracket's board of directors. Headquartered in Wayne, Penn., Bracket is a specialty services provider dedicating to helping pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations.

The Conifer Group said Thursday that it has added four new staffers to its New York office. Drew Burggraf is now serving as vice president and team leader for the prime brokerage team. Also, Jarod Riley and Kyle Vedder have been named vice president and client services representative respectively for the middle- and back-office services business. And lastly, Pamela Fong has been appointed shareholder services professional on the fund administration team. Headquartered in San Francisco, Calif., the Conifer Group is a provider of services for the hedge fund industry.

Roofing Supply Group, a portfolio company of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, said Thursday that it has named Shaun Mara as the company's new CFO. Prior to joining Roofing Supply Group, Mara served as CFO at Dean Foods. Based in Dallas, Texas, Roofing Supply Group is a provider of roofing supplies and related building materials.

Blackline Systems said Thursday that a group led by Silver Lake Sumeru has agreed to invest in the company. No financial terms were disclosed. In addition to Silver Lake Sumeru, BlackLine management and ICONIQ Capital will also be participating in the investment. And, as part of the transaction, Hollie Moore Haynes, John Brennan and Jason Babcoke of Silver Lake Sumeru join Blackline's board of directors. ICONIQ's Will Griffith will also join the board. Headquartered in Los Angeles, Calif., Blackline is a provider of financial software.
