Apposite Capital said Monday that it has sold its portfolio company ZONARE Medical Systems to China-based Mindray Medical International Limited for $101.7 million. Based in Mountain View, Calif., ZONARE Medical Systems is a provider of diagnostic solutions.

Evogene Ltd. has named Ziv Kop to its board of directors. Kop is the founder and CEO of Go Capital, a private equity fund. He is also the former managing partner at Glenrock Israel, a private equity firm. Based in Rehovot, Israel, Evogene is a provider of plant genomics.

Beacon Equity Partners said Monday that it has completed its sale of Anaqua and SGA2 SAS to Insight Venture Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. Marks Baughan & Co. was the investment banker for the transaction. With offices in Boston, London and France, Anaqua is a provider of intellectual property software. SGA2 SAS is a France-based provider of patent annuity and trademark renewal services.

Carey Watermark Investors said Monday that it has sold its stake in a joint venture owning two hotels to its partner in the venture, Ensemble Hotel Partners, for approximately $22.6 million. As part of the transaction, Ensemble will retain all third party debt of the venture. Based in Long Beach, Calif., the two hotels are Hotel Maya, a Doubletree by Hilton and Residence Inn Long Beach Downtown.

IVDesk Holdings has named Marc S. Usem to its board of directors. A managing partner at Usem Bergstrand Capital Management, Usem was previously a vice president and senior publishing internet technology analyst in the equity research department at Salomon Smith Barney in New York. According to IVDesk, Usem's appointment is preparation for the company to become a direct public offering. Based in Minneapolis, Minn., IVDesk is a provider of IT solutions.

Atlanta-based private equity firm Roark Capital Group said Monday that it has acquired Miller's Ale House from owners Jack Miller, KarpReilly and SKM Equity Fund III. No financial terms were disclosed. Also, Phil Hickey, who is currently serving as chairman of the National Restaurant Association, joins Miller's Ale House as chairman. North Point Advisors and Ropes & Gray served as advisors for Miller's Ale House and KarpReilly for the transaction while King & Spalding and DLA Piper advised Roark Capital. Based in Jupiter, Fla., Miller's Ale House is a casual dining restaurant chain.

The Overseas Private Investment Corporation, a U.S. federal agency, said Friday that it will provide $30 million in financing to the Aga Khan Hospital and Medical College Foundation. The funding, which is in addition to the $7.5 million from the Aga Khan Foundation, is to expand the Aga Khan University Hospital in Pakistan.

Forest City Enterprises said Friday that it has completed its sale of the Sheraton Station Square to Station Square Pittsburgh Hotel for $61 million. According to Forest City, the company has received net cash proceeds from the sale of approximately $18.5 million. The Station Square Pittsburgh Hotel is a joint venture led by Pyramid Hotel Group and an affiliate of Glenmont Capital Management, a New York-based real estate private equity fund manager. Sheraton Station Square is a 399-room hotel in Pittsburgh.

France-based Ceva Sante Animale S.A. said Friday that it has inked an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Sichuan Hengtong's animal health subsidiary in China. No financial terms were disclosed. E. J. McKay, an investment banking firm in Shanghai, served as exclusive financial advisor to CEVA for the transaction. Based in the Sichuan Province, China, Sichuan Hengtong is a provider of powder and liquid pharmaceuticals and animal health pharmaceuticals. Spun-off from Sanofi Aventis, CEVA is an animal health group that is backed by PAI Partners, Industri Kapital, Euromezzanine and Natixis Private Equity.

The Capital Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization has named T.J. Jubeir, the founder and managing partner of private equity firm Capital Partners, to its board of directors. The Entrepreneurs Organization is a global business network that has over 8,000 members in 122 chapters and 35 countries. The Capital Chapter is based in Washington, D.C.
