Mediaspectrum said Wednesday that it has received $35.8 million in a minority equity investment from Insight Venture Partners. The funding will be used to grow the company. Also, Peter Sobiloff and Cian Cotter, who are managing director and principal at Insight Venture Partners respectively, join Mediaspectrum’s board of directors. Based in Boston, Mediaspectrum is a multi-channel provider of SaaS technology for advertising, content management and publishing.

Cortland Capital Market Services said Wednesday that it has purchased Gleacher Products Corp., a loan agency platform, from Gleacher & Company. No financial terms were disclosed. The buy includes the retention of key executives Joanna Anderson and Chris Capezuti as well as all active agency engagements. GPC will be renamed Cortland Products Corp. and will merge with Cortland’s Agency Services business to form an independent bank loan agency. Kaye Scholer LLP represented Cortland Capital Market Services for the transaction while Gleacher & Company, was represented by Covington & Burling LLP. Based in New York, Gleacher & Company is an investment firm.

Reputation.com, a provider of online reputation management and digital privacy, has acquired MySocialCloud. No financial terms were disclosed. Backed by multiple investors that include Sir Richard Branson of Virgin, Insight Venture Partners' Jerry Murdock and Alex Welch of Photobucket, MySocialCloud is a cloud-based platform that enables users to manage logins and passwords from a single site.

The Center for Innovative Technology said Wednesday that it has named Dan Henderson as investment director for CIT GAP Funds. Prior to joining CIT, Henderson worked at BeClose, where he served as senior vice president of business development and strategy. Based in Virginia, CIT GAP Funds is a family of seed- and early-stage investment funds that focuses on making near-equity and equity investments in technology, life science and clean technology companies in the state.

Duck Duck Moose said Wednesday that it has named Alan Shusterman as CEO and a member of the board of directors effective immediately. Prior to joining Duck Duck Moose, Shusterman worked at developing, building and managing start-ups and businesses including Edusoft, LinkExchange and Jobnob. Headquartered in San Mateo, Calif., Duck Duck Moose, which is backed by Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners, is a creator of educational mobile apps for children.

Adobe Systems said Tuesday that it has completed its previously announced $600 million acquisition of Neolane. Based in Paris, Neolane, which was backed by Auriga Partners, XAnge Private Equity and Battery Ventures, is a provider of cross-channel campaign management technology.

SuVolta said Tuesday that it has named Dr. Louis Parrillo as the company's COO. In his new role, Dr. Parrillo will oversee technology and circuit design programs and resources. Based in Silicon Valley and backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, August Capital, NEA, Bright Capital, Northgate Capital and DAG Ventures, SuVolta is a provider of semiconductor technologies for low-power, high-performance IC chips.

Milwaukee-based private equity fund Generation Growth Capital said Tuesday that it has closed its second fund, Generation Growth Capital Fund II, L.P. No financial terms were disclosed although according to the company, the amount raised "significantly exceeded total capital commitments raised for Fund I." Also, GGC closed on a companion fund, Generation Growth Capital Wisconsin Fund II Wisconsin, L.P. Again, the amount raised for this fund was also not disclosed.

Sidley Austin LLP said Tuesday that it has named Herschel T. Hamner III as a partner in its global finance practice. Hamner will be working at the firm's Houston office. Sidley Austin is a global law firm.

WilsonHCG said Tuesday that it has received an investment from Frontier Capital, a Charlotte, NC-based private equity firm. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Tampa, Fla., WilsonHCG is a provider of recruitment process outsourcing and human resources consulting.
