Accenture has closed its previously announced acquisition of Mortgage Cadence from Monitor Clipper Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Mortgage Cadence is a provider of loan origination software and electronic document management services in the U.S.
Rural Broadband Investments, a portfolio company of GTCR, said Thursday that it has closed its buy of McDonald Cable. No financial terms were disclosed. RBC Capital Markets served as exclusive financial advisor to RBI and GTCR for the transaction. An affiliate of McDonald Group, McDonald Cable is a cable provider that currently serves over 9,000 customers in Southeast Texas.
Advent International said Thursday that it has named Dr. Angelo C. Brisimitzakis to its operating partner program as a consultant. Dr. Brisimitzakis is the former CEO and president of Compass Minerals International. Headquartered in Boston, Advent International is a global private equity firm.
Global private investment firm H.I.G. Capital said Thursday that it has made a strategic investment in LG Sistemas. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Brazil, LG Sistemas is a provider of human resources software.
Defense Mobile Corp. has named Hon. Tidal W. McCoy to its board of advisors. McCoy, a former Secretary of the Air Force under President Reagan, is the founder and former chairman/CEO of Washington Capital Partners, a venture capital firm focused on investing in early stage technology companies. Headquartered in New York City, Defense Mobile Corp. is a mobile platform that targets military veterans.
Investcorp said Thursday that it has agreed to acquire Tyrrells Potato Crisps from UK private equity firm Langholm Capital for £100 million. Also based in the UK, Tyrrells is a maker of potato and vegetable chips. Investcorp, which has offices in the Bahrain, New York, London and Saudi Arabia, is a provider and manager of alternative investment products.
New York-based private equity firm Crestview Partners and employees of Victory Capital Management said Thursday that they have closed their previously announced $246 million acquisition of Victory from KeyCorp. Victory's CEO David Brown and President Christopher Ohmacht will continue in their roles. Both have also been named to the company's new board of directors along with Rich DeMartini and Alex Binderow of Crestvview. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Victory Capital is an asset management firm.
Nebula said Wednesday that it has named Mark Leslie to its board of directors. Leslie is the former chairman and CEO of Veritas Software. Headquartered in Mountain View, Calif, Nebula, which is backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers and Highland Capital Partners, is a provider of cloud solutions.
Venrock said Wednesday that it has promoted David Stepp to partner. Prior to joining Venrock, Stepp worked at Cooley LLP where his practice focused on venture capital partnerships and emerging growth and small-cap public technology companies. Based in Palo Alto, Calif., Venrock is a venture capital firm.
The Abraaj Group, an investor in growth markets, said Wednesday that it has sold its stake in HFC Bank to Republic Bank Limited, an independent Caribbean bank. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Ghana, HFC is a provider of financial services.
