Able Logistics Group, a portfolio company of GrowthGate Capital, has completed a leveraged recapitalization. Bank of Sharjah led the recapitalization and also served as sole adviser and principal lender on the transaction. Proceeds were used to pay down debt as well as pay a cash dividend to shareholders. No financial terms were disclosed. Able Logistics is a freight-forwarding company that GrowthGate Capital is planning on taking public in Dubai this year.
Alternative asset manager Ares Capital Management has named Owen D. Hill and Jonathan M. Shepko as managing directors. Both will be based in the firm's Dallas office and focus on senior and subordinated debt financing opportunities in the oil and gas sector. Ares Capital Management is the investment advisor for specialty finance company Ares Capital Corp.
JW Resources, a portfolio company of Bayside Capital, an affiliate of H.I.G. Capital, said Monday that it has closed its buy of Appolo Fuels' coal mining operations. No financial terms were disclosed.

Sun Capital Partners said Friday that it has sold Certified Power to Brinkmere Capital Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Mundelein, Illinois, Certified Power is a provider of custom-designed fluid power and power train solutions.
Canada Pension Plan Investment Board said Friday that it has agreed to acquire Wilton Re for $1.8 billion. The sellers include Stone Point Capital, Kelso & Company, Vestar Capital Partners and FFL. Headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, Wilton Re is a life insurance provider for the U.S. market.
Chicago-based private equity real estate firm Green Courte Partners has promoted both Matthew J. Pyzyk and Chad V. Gardner to vice president. Prior to joining Green Courte, Pyzyk worked at Prudential Mortage Capital where he served as a junior associate while Gardner worked in the real estate tax practice at KPMG.
Canaccord Genuity has hired Henry P. Williams as managing director, head of maritime, energy services & infrastructure. Williams, who will be based in New York City, recently worked at Nordea Markets where he served as managing director, global sector head-shipping, corporate finance. Canaccord Genuity is the global capital markets unit of financial services firm Canaccord Genuity Group.
Prime Health has closed $8 million in debt financing from LongueVue Capital. Based in Brentwood, Tenn., Prime Health is a medical cost containment firm.
