Tweddle Group has received an undisclosed amount of funding from LA investment firm The Gores Group. Headquartered in Clinton Township, Michigan, Tweddle is a provider of information and publishing solutions for automotive OEMs and their suppliers.
KPS Capital Partners has agreed to acquire Electrical Components International. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction, which is expected to close during the second quarter of 2014. BofA Merrill Lynch, GE Capital Markets and Fifth Third Bank will arrange financing for the deal. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, ECI is a maker of wire harnesses.
Binary Fountain said Thursday that it has named Rahul C. Prakash, a co-founder and current board member, to lead its corporate development effort. Prakash is a general partner at the telecom-focused private equity fund Everest Wireless Partners. Headquartered in McLean, Virginia, Binary Fountain is a provider of social intelligence solutions.
Unifrax, a portfolio company of American Securities, has agreed to buy a 29 percent stake in Luyang from Nanma Town Collective Asset Management Center. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in China, Luyang is a maker and seller of refractory and insulation materials.
Trescal, which is backed by Ardian, has acquired Instrument Calibration Services and Test Equipment Repair Corp. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Atlanta, both Instrument Calibration Services and Test Services Repair Corp. are providers of calibration and repair services.
FLAG Capital Management said Wednesday that it has hired Myron Zhu as a partner. In his new position, Zhu, along with Wen Tan, a partner, will lead FLAG Squadron Asia. Previously, Zhu worked at JP Morgan Chase Bank where he served as head of alternative investments - CIO Asia.
Private equity firm Ardian said Wednesday that it has hired Tobias Gewolker as a director in its infrastructure team. Gewolker will be based in the firm's Paris office. Previously, Gewolker worked at DC Advisory and before that, Barclays Capital.
WestView Capital Partners has recapitalized Xtend Healthare. Abacus arranged $45 million in financing to support this transaction. Crescent Capital also participated in the financing. Based in Hendersonville, Tenn., Xtend Healthcare is a provider of revenue cycle outsourcing solutions for hospitals.
MicroPact has received funding from Enlightenment Capital. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Herndon, Virginia, MicroPact is a provider of case management and business process management solutions.
Sankaty Advisors, an investment arm of private equity firm Bain Capital, has made an undisclosed investment in Manischewitz. Based in Newark, NJ, Manischewitz is a producer of matzos and kosher food products.
