Middle market private equity firm Snow Phipps has acquired FeraDyne Outdoors. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Cartersville, Georgia, FeraDyne is a maker of bowhunting products.
Stanadyne, which is backed by Kohlberg & Company, has agreed to sell its filtration business to Clarcor for approximately $325 million. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction, which is expected to be completed in early May. Robert W. Baird & Co. and Ropes & Gray were financial and legal advisors, respectively, to Stanadyne. XMS Capital Partners was financial advisor to Clarcor on the deal.
Private investment firm Ardian has agreed to acquire a $1.3 billion private equity portfolio from GE Capital. Evercore advised GE Capital on this transaction.
Private equity firm Swander Pace Capital has raised $350 million for its fifth fund. Its LPs include "top-tier" institutional investors, endowments and family offices. The pool will focus on consumer products companies.
High Street Partners, a portfolio company of Baird Capital, has merged with Nair & Co. to launch UK-based global accounting firm Radius. No financial terms were disclosed; however, HgCapital, Silicon Valley Bank and Lloyds provided the financing for the transaction. R W Baird served as advisor on the deal.
Dublin, Ireland-based education software provider Skillsoft said Monday that it has sold its subsidiaries to Pointwell Limited, which is backed by Charterhouse Capital Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. Deutsche Bank Securities advised Skillsoft on the deal while Ropes & Gray served as legal counsel. Barclays served as exclusive financial advisor to Pointwell Limited. Skillsoft was backed by Advent International, Bain Capital and Berkshire Partners.
Siris Capital Group has closed its buy of Stratus Technologies for approximately $352 million. Jefferies served as financial advisor to Stratus on the transaction while Macquarie Capital was the M&A advisor. Headquartered in Maynard, Mass., Stratus Technologies is a provider of infrastructure solutions that keep applications running continuously.
Portland, Oregon-based alternative investment firm Aequitas Capital has named Keith E. Gregg as president of Aequitas Capital Partners, the firm's new investment and advisor operating unit. Previously, Gregg worked at Innovation Equity Partners where he served as founder and CEO.
Richmond, Virginia-based alternative investment firm Private Advisors has expanded its team with two new hires. Jeremy Kokemor and Peter Lee are joining the firm as a managing director and director respectively. Previously, Kokemor worked at Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley and Ewing Bemiss & Co while Lee worked at Morgan Stanley where he served as a hedge fund analyst.
Z Capital has named David Barr, Joyce Hrinya and John Dupuy as partners on the private equity firm's operating team. Previously, Barr was the chairman of Rita Restaurants Corp. while Hrinya was founder and managing partner of A&R Strategy Partners. And, Dupuy worked at H.I.G. Bayside Capital where he served as an operating partner.
