Denver middle-market private equity firm Excellere Partners said Thursday that it has invested in both Frontline Energy Services and G2 Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Flagstaff, Arizona, Frontline is a provider of integrity management services while G2 Partners, located in Houston, offers integrity and risk management solutions for the energy sector.
Cleary Gull said Thursday that it has appointed Brian Andrew as president. Andrew is currently the company's chief investment officer and will remain in that position. He also has been added to Cleary Gull Holdings' board of directors. Also, Michael Cleary, chairman and CEO of Cleary Gull, will continue in his roles. Based in Milwaukee, Cleary Gull is a financial services firm.
CitiusTech said Thursday that it has received "significant" funding from global growth equity firm General Atlantic. No financial terms were disclosed. CitiusTech is a provider of healthcare technology services and solutions.
Court Square Capital Partners has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Conterra Ultra Broadband. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction, which is being done with Conterra's senior management team. Court Square's investment will buy out stakes in Conterra owned by Goldman Sachs, Duke Energy and GE Capital. The Bank Street Group advised Conterra on this deal while Dechert acted as legal counsel to Court Square. Based in Charlotte, NC, Conterra is a provider of bandwidth infrastructure services.
Absolutdata, which is backed by Fidelity Growth Partners, has added Shumeet Banerji to its corporate advisory board. Recently, Banerji served as CEO of Booz & Company. Absolutdata is a data analytics firm.
Alternative asset manager Apollo Global Management said Thursday that Marc Spiker will be leaving his posts as president and as a member of the company's executive committee. Spiker will stay on as a senior advisor for the rest of the year. Prior to joining Apollo, Spiker worked at Goldman Sachs.
National Technical Systems, a portfolio company of Aurora Capital Group, has acquired Wyle Labs' testing business. No financial terms were disclosed.
Paylocity has priced over 7 million shares of its IPO at $17 per share. The stock begins trading Wednesday on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "PCTY." Deutsche Bank Securities, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith and William Blair & Company are the lead underwriters. Paylocity is a provider of payroll services and human resources solutions. It is backed by Adams Street Partners.
Summit Partners has acquired a minority stake in Integrated DNA Technologies. No financial terms were disclosed. Dr. Joseph Walder, founder of IDT, will continue as the company's majority owner. IDT is a provider of custom nucleic acids.
J.F. Lehman has appointed Thomas M. Dyer to its operating executive board. Dyer founded law firm Dyer Ellis & Joseph, which merged with Blank Rome in 2003. He also served as the co-chairman of Blank Rome. J.F. Lehman is a a middle-market private equity firm focused on the defense, aerospace and maritime sectors.
