Milestone Scientific has named Gian Domenico Trombetta as CEO of its dental division and as a member of its board of directors. Milestone's CEO Leonard Osser will remain in that position. Trombetta is the president and CEO of Milan-based private equity firm Innovest S.p.A. Headquartered in Livingston, NJ, Milestone Scientific is a provider of injection technology.
SIB Development & Consulting said Tuesday that it has received an undisclosed investment from Gold Ridge Asset Management. Based in Charleston, South Carolina, SIB is a provider of fixed monthly cost reduction solutions.
Parsley Energy has debuted its IPO after pricing its 50 million shares at $18.50 per share. The stock began trading Friday on the NYSE under the ticker symbol "PE." Credit Suisse Securities (USA) and Goldman Sachs are the lead underwriters. Based in Midland, Texas, Parsley Energy, which is backed by Natural Gas Partners, is an oil and gas company.
Brickman, a portfolio company of KKR and ValleyCrest, which is backed by MSD Capital, have agreed to merge. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction, which is expected to be completed by mid-2014. KPMG provided financial advice to Brickman while Moelis & Company served as financial advisor to ValleyCrest. Brickman, which is headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, is a provider of landscape maintenance and snow removal services in the U.S. And, based in Calabasas, Calif., ValleyCrest is an integrated landscape services firm.
According to an announcement on its site, Autodata has been acquired by Bowmark Capital and Five Arrows, a principal investing arm of the Rothschild Group. No financial terms were disclosed. Western & Southern Financial Group and its investment arm, Fort Washington Investment Advisors, have hired Steven K. Kreider as senior vice president and chief investment officer. The appointment becomes effective May 30. Previously, Kreider worked at Western Asset Management Company where he served as head of insurance asset management.
Olympus Partners has closed its buy of Pregis Corp. North America. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction. Pregis Corp. is a maker of protective packing materials and systems.
KMG Chemicals, a specialty chemicals provider, has named James Gentilcore to its board of directors. The former CEO of Edwards Group, Gentilcore is an executive advisor to CCMP Capital Advisors.
Athletico Physical Therapy has received undisclosed funding from New York private equity firm Harvest Partners. GE Capital, Ares Capital Corp. and Golub Capital arranged senior debt financing for the transaction. White & Case, McDermott Will & Emery and Marwood Group provided advice to Harvest while Jefferies, Abrams & Steinberg and Harrison & Held advised Athletico. Based in Chicago, Athletico is a physical therapy business that has 80 clinics throughout Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana.
CVC Capital Partners has agreed to buy a majority stake in The Executive Centre from Headland, which will retain a minority ownership in the firm. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction that is expected to close at the end of May. PwC, Bain & Co., Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Clifford Chance advised CVC while Allen & Gledhill advised Headland. HSBC and Babson Capital are providing the debt financing for the deal. The Executive Centre is an Asia-based serviced office provider.
