A provider of material-based solutions for acoustical and coated applications, MSC is a unit of New Star Metals.
Ardian said Thursday that it has acquired a 20 percent stake in Ikoula. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in France, Ikoula is a web and cloud computing hosting provider.
PPG Industries has agreed to acquire The Homax Group, a portfolio company of Olympus Partners. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction, which is expected to close in the third quarter. Sawaya Segalas provided advice to Homax on the deal. Based in Bellingham, Wash., Homax is a producer of home care products.
NetMotion WIreless, which is owned by Clearlake Capital, has hired Jim Ryder as president and Cary Baker as chief financial officer. Headquartered in Seattle, NetMotion is a provider of enterprise mobility management software and solutions.
Baird Capital said Thursday that Michael Bernstein has rejoined the firm as a partner in its U.S. private equity group. Based in Chicago, Bernstein first joined Baird Capital in 2008 as an executive-in-residence. He is also the former president and CEO of Medical Education Technologies, a portfolio company of Baird Capital.
Bridge Growth Partners has hired Alison Catchpole as vice president of finance and controller. Catchpole is the former CFO and managing director at Solera Capital.
Wells Fargo Capital Finance, a unit of Wells Fargo, has named Patrick Simpson as business development officer for the middle market loan originations team in New York. A former Marine, Simpson joined the firm in 2005.
Investment firm Clearbrook Global Advisors has hired Timothy C. Ng as chief investment officer and Jay Tubianosa as chief risk officer. Also, the firm has promoted Mark Hong to head of research.
