Catapult Energy Services Group, which is backed by NGP, has made an undisclosed investment in Cretic Energy Services. Headquartered in Montgomery Texas, Cretic is a provider of tubing services to oil and gas producers throughout Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
Clarity Telecom, which is backed by Pamlico Capital, has agreed to acquire WOW!'s Rapid City and Sioux Fall, South Dakota broadband assets for approximately $262 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in the late third or early fourth quarter of 2014. RBC Capital Markets was financial advisor to WOW! on the deal. WOW!, which is owned by Avista Capital Partners, is a provider of high-speed Internet, cable TV, and phone service in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
Vista Equity Partners has closed its buy of STATS. No financial terms were disclosed. Headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, STATS is a sports data firm.
Brookside Mezzanine Partners has made an undisclosed investment in Water-Jel Technologies. Headquartered in Carlstadt, NJ, Water-Jel is a provider of emergency burn care products.
Chinese career platform Zhaopin has raised $75.7 million for its IPO after pricing its 5.61 million shares at $13.50 per share. The stock began trading Thursday on the NYSE under the ticker symbol "ZPIN." Credit Suisse Securities (USA) and UBS Securities were the lead underwriters.
Investment bank Evercore has hired Donald Monson as a senior managing director in its technology group. The appointment becomes effective in September. Previously, Monson worked at JPMorgan where he served as a managing director and head of international internet and digital media investment banking. Monson will be based in the firm's Menlo Park, Calif. office.
Sleep Innovations and Flexible Foam Products, both of which are owned by Sun Capital Partners, have completed their previously announced merger. The newly combined company has been rebranded as Innocor. Also, Carol Eicher has been named president and CEO of Innocor. Eicher is the former business president of Dow’s global coating and construction unit. Innocor is a producer of flexible polyurethane foam.
Home-based care management provider Univita Health has agreed to sell its insurance administration services division to Stone Point Capital. No financial terms were disclosed. Also, Univita has hired Michael A. Muchnicki as CEO.
O2 Investment Partners has acquired a majority stake in DuAll Precision. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Addison, Illinois, DuAll Precision is a maker of hydraulic cartridge valve components.
Permira has raised $7.2 billion in the final close of its fifth fund. Although the LPs were not named, according to the firm, 72 percent of the total committed capital for the fund were from previous backers.
