Perella Weinberg Partners has named Cem Koray as a partner. His appointment becomes effective January 1, 2017. Koray first joined the firm in 2013 as a managing director. Prior to joining PWP, Koray worked at J.P. Morgan where he served as executive director.
Philadelphia-based growth equity firm 1315 Capital LLC has named Edward Chan as a principal. Previously, Chan worked at NaviMed Capital where he most recently served as a vice president. And prior to that, Chan was at Siemens Venture Capital where he evaluated and sourced healthcare deals.
Santa Rosa, California-based Ygrene Energy Fund, a provider of residential, multifamily, and commercial property assessed clean energy financing, has raised $95 million in funding. The investor was Lightyear Capital LLC.
United Flexible Inc, which is backed by Arlington Capital Partners, has acquired Laconia, New Hampshire-based Scotia Technology, a maker of precision fixed tubular components for the aerospace and defense sectors. No financial terms were disclosed.

First Read kicks off the morning with news that Allergan will be buying Acelity's tissue unit LifeCell for $2.9 billion, the late Tupac Shakur is among those joining the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Blackstone is winding down its "big bet" hedge fund Senfina Advisors LLC.
Halyard Capital has made an undisclosed investment in Chicago-based StratEx, a provider of human resources software and services. No financial terms were disclosed. Harbor View Advisors and Weiss Brown advised StratEx on the transaction.
Veronis Suhler Stevenson has sold London-based Thomsons Online Benefits, an SaaS provider of global employee benefits and employee engagement software for automated employee benefits administration. The buyer was Mercer, a Marsh & McLennan subsidiary. No financial terms were disclosed.

TPG has agreed to acquire Lenexa, Kansas-based Mediware Information Systems Inc, a provider of software for healthcare and human services providers. The seller is Thoma Bravo. No financial terms were disclosed for the deal that's expected to close during the first quarter of 2017. BofA Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey served as financial advisers to TPG on the acquisition.
