Jernigan has invested $8.9 million in a proposed Raleigh, North Carolina-based storage development project. The investment was made via Storage Lenders LLC, Jernigan's joint venture with Heitman Capital Management and an unnamed institutional partner. Phillips Development and Realty LLC is serving as the developer of the project.
Gryphon Investors has agreed to sell C.B. Fleet Company Inc to Prestige Brands in a deal valued at about $825 million. Based in Lynchburg, Virginia, Fleet is a provider of personal healthcare products, which includes the Summer's Eve brand. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2017. Sawaya Segalas & Co LLC provided financial advice to Fleet and Gryphon.
Calgary, Alberta-based power producer Maxim Power Corp has agreed to sell subsidiary Maxim Power (USA) Inc to Hull Street Energy for $106 million. Credit Suisse is advising Maxim on the transaction.
Canadian mid-market private equity firm Clairvest Group has acquired additional shares in Discovery Air Inc, a specialty aviation and logistics company headquartered in Etobicoke, Ontario. According to terms of the transaction, Clairvest purchased over four million shares in Discovery Air at $0.20 per share, increasing its majority stake to about 81 percent.
