High Ridge Brands Co, which is backed by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, has acquired Buena Park, California-based Dr. Fresh LLC, a provider of oral care products. The seller was a private equity fund co-advised by NexPhase Capital LP and Moelis Capital Partners LLC. No financial terms were disclosed. William Blair & Company was investment banking advisor to NexPhase and Dr. Fresh on the deal.
ACON Investments has made an investment in GMI, a provider of modular construction solutions in Mexico and Latin America. No financial terms were disclosed.
Marble Point Credit Management LLC has acquired American Capital CLO Management, LLC, an investment manager with about $3.4 billion in assets under management across eight collateralized loan obligation vehicles. The seller was American Capital Ltd. No financial terms were disclosed. As a result of the transaction, ACCLOM and the CLOs will be rebranded as part of the Marble Point platform.
Blackstone has agreed to acquire Tradesmen International from Wellspring Capital Management. No financial terms were disclosed. Robert W. Baird & Co and Rothschild are providing financial advice to Tradesmen on the deal while Deutsche Bank is doing likewise for Blackstone. Tradesmen is a provider of outsourced skilled craftsmen to non-residential construction and industrial contractors in North America.
OpenGate Capital has sold Getronics LATAM, an ICT products and services provider for the large enterprise market. The buyer is Southern Cross Group, a Latin American private investment firm. No financial terms were disclosed. KPMG Corporate Finance LLC provided financial advice to OpenGate on the transaction.
Confie, a portfolio company of ABRY Partners, has acquired Auto Insurance America, a car insurance provider serving the Nevada and New Mexico markets. The seller was Western National Mutual Insurance Company. No financial terms were disclosed.
Atlantic-Pacific Capital Inc, a placement and advisory firm, has named Kevin Imhoff and Jeff Hypes as principals. Imhoff will join the New York office while Hypes will join the Chicago office. Previously, Imhoff worked at Eaton Partners where he served as a director responsible for sourcing and securing primary and secondary capital commitments from institutional investors. And, Hypes is a former vice president in Lazard’s private capital advisory group.
