Texas-based dermatology practice Dermatology Associates, which is backed by ABRY Partners, has acquired three dermatology practices. They are Houston-based Advanced Dermatologic Surgery in Houston, Austin-based Dr. Bryan Townsend's practice, and Fort Worth-based Dermatology and Laser Center. No financial terms were disclosed.
HGGC has named Greg Hughes, David Chung and Bob Pender as executive directors. The firm has also promoted Pat Dugoni to vice president from senior associate and hired James Herrmann as business development officer. Chung is a former investment partner at Blum Capital Partners while Hughes was the president and CEO of HGGC portfolio company Serena Software. Pender most recently served as the chief operating officer at Serena Software and Herrmann had a business development role at former Bain Capital portfolio company Icon Health and Fitness.
Ned and Robert Schwing has teamed up with Silversmith Capital Partners to launch Houston-based Partners Surgical Corp, a healthcare company focused on on acquiring, developing and managing multi-specialty ambulatory surgery centers in the U.S. No financial terms were disclosed.
Marcolin Group, which is backed by PAI Partners, has named Massimo Renon as a worldwide commercial general manager. Marcolin is an Italian eyewear company.
Walnut Creek, California-based Providence Medical Technology Inc, a provider of tissue-sparing, cervical-fusion technology, has named Gregory S. Curhan as chief financial officer and senior vice president of corporate development. Prior to joining Providence, Curhan worked at Merriman Curhan Ford where he served as a founder and president . Providence's backers include MVM Life Science Partners, Stanmore Medical Investments and Aphelion Capital.
Sun Capital Partners Inc has sold Thomasville, North Carolina-based Lexington Home Brands, a maker of residential and contract furnishings. The buyer was not identified. Stifel acted as financial adviser on the transaction.
ParkOhio has acquired Valencia, Spain-based GH Electrotermia S.A., a maker of induction heating equipment and heat treat solutions. The seller was Miura Private Equity. The price of the acquisition was about $31 million.
LLR Partners has acquired cyber security company BluVector from Northrop Grumman Corp. No financial terms were disclosed; however, LLR Partners has committed $50 million in financing to BluVector.
Harvest Partners SCF LP has promoted Steve Duke and Sean Murphy to managing director. Duke first joined the firm in 2014 while Murphy came on board in 2016.
Fulcrum Capital Partners has made an undisclosed investment in Vitalus Nutrition. Based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Vitalus is a provider of specialty cream and milk protein ingredients for the food, beverage, and nutraceutical sectors.
