Shamrock Capital Advisors LLC, an alternative investment firm focused on middle-market media, entertainment and communications companies, has named Brian Barnum as an operating partner. Barnum's past roles include serving as chief operating officer of Brighter Inc and chief financial officer/COO of The Rubicon Project.
PrideSports, a portfolio company of Centre Partners, has merged with MacNeill Engineering. No financial terms were disclosed. Brentwood, Tennessee-based PridesSports is a maker of golf traction elements while Marlborough, Massachusetts-based MacNeill Engineering is a provider of metal and plastic traction components found in shoes across a broad range of sports.
Limited Stores LLC, parent of U.S. women's apparel chain The Limited, said on Tuesday it filed for bankruptcy, the latest brick-and-mortar retailer to reorganize as shoppers shift to fast-fashion retailers and online competitors.
3i has expanded its private equity team with six new hires. Comvest Partners has provided a $40 million loan to Transfast LLC, a cross-border payments provider. Transfast is owned by GCP Capital Partners.
Phoenix, Arizona-based Telesoft, a provider of communications expense and mobility management solutions, has named Tamara Saunders as chief financial officer and Don Luby as senior vice president of sales. Also, the firm has added Charlotte Yates to Telesoft's board of directors. Saunders is the former CFO of Telesphere and vice president of finance at Vonage while Luby recently served as vice president of sales at Tangoe. Telesoft is backed by Sumeru Equity Partners.
Electrical Components International Inc, a portfolio company of KPS Capital Partners, has agreed to acquire Fargo Assembly Company. No financial terms were disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of this year. Based in Fargo, North Dakota, Fargo is a provider of wire harnesses for the motorcycle, agriculture, construction and specialty transportation sectors.
InTandem Capital Partners has acquired two South Florida-based primary care clinics Cano Health and Comfort Health. No financial terms were disclosed. The newly combined entity will run under the Cano Health brand.
