Raleigh, North Carolina and Toronto-based PrecisionHawk, a provider of advanced commercial drone technologies, has hired Michael Chasen as CEO. Previously, Chasen was the CEO and co-founder of Blackboard. PrecisionHawk's backers included Intel Capital, Millennium Technology Value Partners, Verizon Ventures, NTT Docomo Ventures, Yamaha Motor, DuPont and Indiana University.

Shore Capital Partners has made an undisclosed investment in Argentum Medical LLC and "certain assets" of Cura Surgical Inc. The Walden Group advised Argentum on the transaction. Based in Geneva, Illinois, Argentum is a maker of wound care products.
Targa Resources Corp has agreed to acquire Outrigger Energy LLC's three midstream subsidiaries in the Permian Basin for a cash consideration of up to $1.5 billion. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of this year. Citi is serving as exclusive financial adviser to Outrigger on the transaction. Outrigger is backed by Denham Capital.
