Thoma Bravo closed its previously announced buyout of Planview from Insight Venture Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. According to terms of the deal, Thoma Bravo will become Planview’s new majority owner while Insight Venture Partners will retain a minority stake in the company. Based in Austin, Texas, Planview is a provider of work and resource management solutions.

Rev Group, a maker of specialty vehicles and related aftermarket parts and services, has debuted its IPO after pricing its 12.5 million shares at $22 per share. The stock began trading January 27, 2017 on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "REVG." Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Baird are serving as the lead underwriters. Rev Group is a portfolio company of American Industrial Partners.
Dunes Point Capital LLC has acquired Richmond, Virginia-based Power Distribution Inc from Smiths Group plc. No financial terms were disclosed. Alvarez & Marsal served as financial adviser to DPC while Harris Williams & Co did likewise for Smiths Group plc. PDI is a provider of mission critical power distribution, static switching and power monitoring equipment for corporate data centers, industrial and commercial customers sold under the PDI and Onyx Power brands.
HealthCare Royalty Partners has hired Warren Cooper as managing director and chief medical officer. Cooper is the former CEO of Prism Pharmaceuticals. Also, the firm has promoted John Urquhart to principal and Anthony Rapsomanikis to vice president. Urquhart first joined HCR in 2007 and then later rejoined the company in 2012 after receiving his M.B.A. while Rapsomanikis came on board in 2012.
Symphony Technology Group has acquired Alexandria, Virginia-based Fishbowl Inc, a customer engagement provider for the restaurant sector. No financial terms were disclosed. Canaccord Genuity served as the financial adviser to Fishbowl. In addition to the transaction, STG's Marc Bala and Adam Hendricks have been added to Fishbowl's board of directors.
Veritas Capital has agreed to acquire Herndon, Virginia-based Harris Corp's government IT services business for $690 million in cash. The deal is expected to be completed before the end of fiscal 2017.
OMERS will invest $1 billion to support Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited's acquisition of insurer Allied World. According to terms of the deal, OMERS will indirectly acquire an approximate 21 percent stake in Allied World as a result of the transaction.
