Accent Equity Partner AB agreed to acquires property protection company Troax from the Gunnebo AB. Stockholm, Sweden-based Accent plans to complete the transaction together with Troax’s management. Troax is based in Hillerstorp, Sweden. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The European Parliament approved rules that will regulate hedge funds and private equity manager starting in 2013, Reuters reported. The measures were approved with overwhelming support. There were 513 votes in favor for the rules, with 92 opposing votes and three abstentions.
Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. sold Duales System Deutschland GmbH to the company’s management that had support from U.K. private equity shop Solidus. Duales System is a waste manager based in German. Financial terms were not disclosed, but a person close to the company told Reuters the price was a low three-digit million euros sum.
Aqua Pharmaceuticals named Skip Williams executive director of product development. Williams previously worked in an executive director position at Watson Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for brand and biologics business development. Aqua is a West Chester, Pa.-based drug company that develops prescription skin care treatments. It is part of Illinois-based Roundtable Healthcare Partners’ portfolio.
Wafra Partners and its affiliates acquired All Island Media Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed, but .Wafra can invest up to $30 million in equity per deal. All Island Media publishes and distributes Pennysaver News, Town Crier and other titles to more than 750,000 homes and businesses in Nassau and Suffolk counties, N.Y.
GI Partners completed the merger of two companies in its portfolio. The Menlo Park, Calif.-based company combined its SoftLayer Technologies subsidiary that provides on-demand data services with The Planet, which is an information technology hosting concern.
Fahrenheit 212 signed an exclusive partnership with Catterton Partners, a Greenwich, Conn.-based private equity firm. Fahrenheit 212 will work with a number of Catterton's portfolio companies to help the investments’growth potential. Fahrenheit 212 is a consulting firm based in New York.
Partners Group AG of Zug, Switzerland provided mezzanine financing to Harrington Group Inc. on behalf of clients. Harrington Group is a provider of specialty medical products.

MedCare and Ridgemont Equity Partners will each retain a part of their stake in the Nashville, Tenn. -based company. Further details of the investments were not disclosed.
IK Investment Partners agreed to buy EPiServer Group AB from Amadeus Capital, Martin Bjäringer, Monterro Holdings, Northzone Ventures, Mikael Runhem and family and employees of the Swedish software company. Financial terms were not disclosed. IK Investment is a Pan-European private equity firm.
