New York-based private equity firm Harvest Partners, LP and Audax Private Equity completed a recapitalization of Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery, a nationwide practice management company headquartered in Maitland, Florida. Audax, the previous investor, and the company's management team will retain minority stakes. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Genstar Capital acquired Accruent, a provider of real estate and facilities management software headquartered in Austin. Genstar, which is based in San Francisco, targets investments in the software, healthcare, financial services, and industrial technology sectors.

Greenfield Cities Holdings, L.P., a TPG Growth portfolio company, led a $14.9 million Series A funding round in cloud security provider Avanan Inc. This is the first investment by Greenfield Cities, a joint venture between TPG Growth and technology investor Yuda Doran. The firm intends to focus on Israel-based companies looking to expand globally. Existing investors Magma VC and StageOne Ventures also participated in the round, bringing Avanan's total capital raised to $16.4 million.
WorldQuant Ventures LLC invested an undisclosed amount in True Anthem, a tool for social media analytics and amplification. WorldQuant Ventures, an angel firm founded in 2014 as a private investment vehicle for founder Igor Tulchinsky, focuses on data and finance companies. Hercules Funding, LLC secured a $6.5 million loan from AloStar. Hercules provides venture funding to firms including technology and life sciences companies.
Spark Capital and Accomplice led a $3 million seed round in Nift, a network that allows business owners to reward customers with gifts to other neighborhood establishments. Founded in Brookline, Massachusetts, Nift currently operates in the Boston area.
