Chicago-based private equity firm Frontenac has acquired Industrial Color Brands from Stone Canyon Industries. Financial terms were not disclosed. Frontenac focuses on the consumer, industrial and service industries. Industrial Color Brands provides digital production and post-production services to the fashion, retail, advertising, media and entertainment industries.
HighBar Partners announced the final close of HighBar Partners III, L.P., with $208 million in commitments, exceeding the hard cap of $200 million. Capstone Partners served as executive placement agent. HighBar focuses on growth capital investments in enterprise and infrastructure software companies. The fund has so far invested in Virtual Instruments and Janrain.
Caltius Equity Partners sold its stake in DHR Services Holdings to Oasis Outsourcing. Financial terms were not disclosed. DHR provides human resources services to small and medium-sized businesses in the southwestern U.S. Based in Los Angeles, Caltius invests in business, consumer, industrial, IT and healthcare services companies in the lower-middle market.
Philadelphia-based Milestone Partners announced the sale of Precision Partners Holding Company to AK Steel for $360 million. Headquartered in Ontario, Canada, Precision Partners provides engineered components for automotive tooling and stamping.
