Law firm Sidley Austin, which is headquartered in New York, has hired Gregory Salathé as a partner in its Singapore office. Salathé is now a member of the firm's M&A practice, and will reside in Singapore after a transition period in Tokyo. Avec Capital, a New York private placement firm that works with private equity and alternative assets funds, has appointed Christine Kelleher as a managing director. Kelleher joins the firm from Georgetown University Investment Office in Washington, D.C., which oversees the management of the university's $1.1 billion endowment and where Kelleher was a senior investment officer.
