Arbor Investments has acquired Great Lakes Packaging Corp., a maker of corrugated packaging and display products. Terms of the deal were not released. Great Lakes Packaging is based in Germantown, Wisc.
Mobile advertising network Millennial Media Inc. has filed with regulators to raise up to $75 million in an initial public offering. Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and Barclays Capital are among the underwriters listed for the offering. The Baltimore-based company raised more than $65 million from venture investors, and wrapped up a $27.5 million round a year ago. Backers include from Bessemer Venture Partners, Columbia Capital, Charles River Ventures and New Enterprise Associates.
The Jordan Company, via its Resolute Fund II, L.P., has acquired Chicago-based Vantage Specialty Chemicals from H.I.G. Capital. Terms of the deal were not released.
Investment bank Berkery Noyes said that it advised Healthx Inc. on its majority recapitalization by growth equity firm Frontier Capital. Terms of the deal were not released. Healthx is based in Indianapolis and provides healthcare information technology to insurers and physicians.
Grey Mountain Partners has acquired Memphis, Tenn.-based Binswanger Enterprises, a designer, installer, and retailer of architectural glass and aluminum products. Terms of the deal were not released. Grey Mountain Partners is a Boulder, Colo.-based private equity firm.
French insurer Groupama is mulling a sale of its private equity arm, Reuters reported, citing the French online newspaper Agefi. Groupama private equity manages 1.8 billion euros ($2.3 billion)in 16 funds, Reuters wrote.
Hedge fund services firm GlobeOp Financial Services is in talks with buyout shops Advent International and TPG, Reuters reported Friday. The firm, which has $173 billion in client assets under administration, has been carrying out a strategic review to try and boost its share price, Reuters wrote.
Cogent Partners has promoted Chris Bonfield to the post of director, based in Dallas; and Dominik Woessner to director in London. The firm also announced Thursday that it has promoted Briac Houtteville to vice president in London. Cogent Partners is a private equity-focused investment bank.
BC Partners and Cinven are the final buyout shops in the running for legal services group CPA Global, Reuters reported Thursday. Investment firm Intermediate Capital Group put the business up for sale at the end of last year, hoping to get around 700 million pounds ($1.09 billion), Reuters wrote.
Mindspeed Technologies Inc., a listed semiconductor company, will pay $51.8 million – plus an additional $25 million in earn-out payments – to buy U.K.-based Picochip Ltd. Picochip makes integrated system-on-chip technology for small cell base stations.
