The Social Venture Fund has backed a round of financing for Loveland Technologies, a Detroit-based social web mapping company. The Social Venture Fund was part of a syndicate of investors.
Peak Rock Capital portfolio company Atlas Southeast Papers has acquired Roses Southeast Papers, a manufacturer of tissue paper products. Headquartered in Sanford, Florida, Atlas Southeast is a manufacturer of tissue paper products, capable of producing both virgin and recycled grades.
Performance Horizon Group, a provider of partner marketing solutions for enterprises, has raised $10 million in Series B funding led by new investor Mithril Capital Management. Existing investors DN Capital and Greycroft Partners also participated.
Z Capital Partners has appointed William McBeath as managing director and operating partner. Prior to joining Z Capital, McBeath was the president and chief operating officer for CityCenter, which includes ARIA Resort & Casino, Vdara Hotel & Spa, Crystals and Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas.
UK credit solution business Capquest is to be acquired by Arrow Global Group. The business is being sold by Towerbrook.
Investment firm Carrick Capital Partners has appointed Tom Mendoza as a special advisor to the firm. Mendoza is the vice chairman of NetApp. He joined NetApp in 1994 where he was responsible for worldwide sales until 2000.
Bionym has closed a $14 million Series A round of funding led by Ignition Partners and Relay Ventures. Other investors include Export Development Canada, MasterCard and Salesforce Ventures, salesforce.com’s corporate investment group.
Destination club Inspirato has secured $20 million in growth financing from new investor W Capital Partners and existing investors Institutional Venture Partners and Millennium Technology Value Partners. To date, Inspirato has raised approximately $70 million in equity financing.
Oakley Capital Investments Limited has acquired a majority stake in Facile. Founded in 2008, the business is an Italian car insurance broker and price comparison website.
Accuris Networks, a cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity business, has completed a $15 million equity funding round. New investors include the Ulster Bank Diageo Venture Fund and the China Ireland Growth Technology Fund. Accuris Networks also announced the appointment of US-based wireless executive Jeff Brown as CEO.
