Hermes Fund Managers has held an interim close for the Hermes GPE Infrastructure Fund and its related accounts. HIF has now raised over 700 million pounds ($1.2 billion) including allocations from several UK local government pension schemes.

mNectar has raised $7 million in its Series A financing round from New Enterprise Associates. mNectar is a developer of mobile application virtualization and cloud delivery. Rick Yang, a principal from NEA’s Menlo Park division, joins mNectar’s board of directors.

Rigby Group has appointed investment banker Edouard Carlone as its new head of M&A. Carlone joins the group from UBS, where he specialised in M&A and corporate development for the past 14 years.

CapX Partners has promoted Ryan Elsass from associate to senior associate in its Chicago office. Elsass joined CapX in February 2013 and is responsible for assisting the partners with investment underwriting and portfolio management.

CloudPhysics has appointed Jeffrey Hausman as CloudPhysics CEO and member of the board of directors. The company, based in Mountain View, Calif provides predictive analytics for virtual datacenters and is backed by Mayfield, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Jafco Ventures.
