PlusN, a developer of a digital multi-band downlink carrier aggregation solution, has raised $600,000. Investors Franklin Johnson, founder of Asset Management Ventures, Chris Brody, chairman of Vantage Venture Partners, and John Levy, executive chairman of PlusN, led the financing.

IK Investment Partners has entered into exclusive discussions with LBO France to acquire Exxelia Group. Financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed. Headquartered in Paris, France, Exxelia is a manufacturer of customised passive components.

Mithril Capital Management has led a $40 million Series C financing in health innovator Fractyl Laboratories. Existing investors General Catalyst, Bessemer and Domain Associates also participated.

MetricStream has raised $60 million in a financing round led by Sageview Capital. Existing investors Goldman Sachs and Kaiser Permanente Ventures also participated. MetricStream is a provider of enterprise and cloud applications for GRC.

Actis is committing $250 million to establish a Mexican energy platform, Zuma Energía, which will target over 500 MW of installed capacity in the country. Zuma Energía has completed its first acquisition and closed the financing of PE Ingenio, a 50 MW wind farm located in the state of Oaxaca.

Symphony Commerce closed a $21.5 million Series B round of funding led by CRV, with participation from existing investors Bain Capital Ventures and FirstMark Capital. Headquartered in San Francisco, Symphony Commerce delivers commerce as a service to fast-growing brands.

FreeCharge has raised $33 million in Series B funding from Sequoia Capital, Sofina and RuNet. Freecharge is building an advertising platform that captures online and offline purchase behavior and brand preferences of consumers.

Veritas Capital is to acquire cybersecurity solution provider BeyondTrust from private equity and venture capital firm Insight Venture Partners. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
